The second ‘Women on Air’ conference
In June 2016 there was a second “Women on Air” conference attended by over 100 delegates with key note speeches from Dame Tessa Jowell; Ed aizey the then Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries; and Fran Unsworth, the then Director of the BBC World Service group. Fran praised the City University project as “incredibly useful.”
Speakers included the editors of all the six programmes monitored. All six credited the Expert Women projects and surveys with changing attitudes.
